Business has changed, the introduction of technology in the 20th century
changed businesses with automation, which has led to the development
of the world’s largest and most valuable companies in the world, such as
Apple, Sony etc. In the late 20th century, the internet exploded and this
led to the formation of the information age, which has led to today’s
largest companies, WhatsApp Inc, Facebook, Instagram and Google.
Businesses have adapted to these changes, this is not the same case
however for Zimbabwean organisations, who still spend a lot of money
on traditional marketing such as radio and television. This has all
changed. For less than 20% of the cost annually, Zimbabwean entities
can increase annual revenue by over 40%, this has however not been
fully exploited in Zimbabwe.
