Overview

Mission/Vision

The vision of the Zimbabwe Association of Consulting Engineers is to maintain the independence and impartiality of the Engineer. Our core values are:

In keeping with changes in the profession elsewhere, the Association’s Rules of Professional Conduct and Bye-laws have been modernised to include reasonable commercial exposure to the press and other advertising media. In addition Members of ZACE can now operate as limited liability companies and Bye-law No.16 allows ZACE Members to co-operate under a Build Operate and Transfer schemes provided there is full disclosure of any financial interest the Member may have.

As a part of its service to its members, ZACE has prepared a suite of Standard Forms Of Agreement which are available only to members and their clients. In order to keep in touch with the profession on the global stage ZACE is a member of FIDIC (the International Federation of Consulting Engineers). FIDIC is an international organisation with a membership of 66 national consulting engineering organisations world-wide. ZACE is also a member of GAMA (the Group of African Member Associations of FIDIC) which is a forum for discussion amongst organisations representing African based consulting engineers.
