The People’s Own Savings Bank (POSB) is the only Savings bank in Zimbabwe, whose mandate is to mobilise savings and promote a savings culture in Zimbabwe. This is achieved through providing accessible and affordable banking services to all Zimbabweans regardless of social standing or geographical location.
The Peoples Own Savings Bank was established principally to mobilize savings and to provide accessible banking services for Zimbabweans countrywide.
The bank has three principal business units that provide banking services, namely
Retail Banking : takes care of the individual banking needs of customers. This includes high net-worth customers who are served via the Esteem Private Banking arm , other customers are taken care of through banks branch and agent network.
Corporate Banking : Corporate customers benefit from the personalized service and financial advice of our Account Relationship managers. Our customers include Listed and unlisted companies, Government Ministries, Parastatals, Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Treasury & International Banking : The Treasury Department offers investments and call accounts. Our strength in this area lies on our competitive interest rates, tax free income on all investments and innovative products.
