Meaning “rest” in the seSotho language, Phomolo Safari Lodge offers a friendly and personal atmosphere with stunning views and an authentic wildlife experience. The safari lodge is built on granite rock formations situated in a privately owned game reserve. The lodge is located 30 minutes away from the Matobo (or Matopos) Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the highest concentrations of birds of prey in the world.

Attractions at Phomolo Safari Lodge include game drives, ancient rock art, fishing and bird watching. Guests are encouraged to arrange a walk and a drive to view the wildlife. The Matobo area is well known for rhinos, leopards and black eagles and guests can look forward to spotting these on some game drives.

As a self-catering venue with fully equipped kitchens, Phomolo Safari Lodge offers guests two lovely thatched suites with en suite bathrooms. The suites are built from granite and guests can choose between the honeymoon suite (Thakgalo) which sleeps two and the family suite (Moloko) which sleeps four.
