Cerruti Lodges are located at Charara on the shoreline of Lake Kariba. Each of the five lodges, offer private luxury accommodation and are situated on beautifully landscaped grounds.

The lodges are fully serviced with panoramic views from the upper floor balconies. Each fully equipped lodge can cater for up to ten persons with a modern equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, bathrooms and three toilets. The five comfortable bedrooms are kept cool with overhead ceiling fans. The shower in lodge 4 has been modified to make it wheelchair friendly.

Your own supply of food and drinks are all the client needs to bring. Extra food and drink supplies can be obtained at the neighboring campsite shop or in Kariba town.
Each picturesque lodge was constructed from locally quarried stone and roofed with overhanging thick thatch to keep them pleasantly cool in the hot Kariba climate. The floors have also been laid with colourful glitterstone cut tiles and stone of the highest grade obtainable. This enhances an overall feeling of coolness for the occupants. The effect is extended to the outdoor living area, where there is a patio and a stone built braaivleis (bbq) fire.

What better way to end a hot day than enjoying a ‘braai’ under the black velvet canopy of the bright constellations of the southern hemisphere.
Most of the indigenous trees have been conserved in the spacious grounds to create an authentic background for the well tended lawns and colourful flowerbeds that surround all lodges and the swimming pool. A unique feature of the swimming pool is that it has been partly covered with thatch to give shade for those wishing to take a cool dip during the heat of the day.

Designed as a fishing camp for the discerning angler and his family, the first class amenities of Cerruti Lodges are the ideal place to return to after an exciting day of fishing. Ideal for those eager to catch such fish as Bream, Chessa, Eel, Vundu, Bottlenose and most of all, the famous fighting Tigerfish. The ultimate in fishing excitement is to hook into a colourful sleek Tigerfish and to see it leap high and clear of the water, trailing your line in it’s wake, trying frantically to throw the hook from it’s shark-like teeth. Pound for pound, the Tigerfish is the gamest fighting fish in the world and while some catches in Lake Kariba have weighed over 13.6 KG’s (30 Pounds), even the smallest of species can give the angler an excellent fight. For those keen on the heavier fish which mostly lie in the deep waters of the lake, there is the 45-55 KG Vundu just waiting to be enticed with the right bait.

For those groups interested in hiring boats these can be brought to the site and moored for their convenience by a local boat company. An electrified fence keeps out any game that roam in the area, so it is safe for children to play around the pool and to explore the grounds, though they will need parental supervision at all times, because we cannot be held responsible for their behaviour, or their safety. A playing area with swings and a trampoline has also been laid out for the childrens pleasure.

The lodges are situated approximately 20KM from the Kariba Airport . If requested, clients can be picked up from the airport or from Kariba town, or from the turnoff to Charara on the main Kariba-Makuti Road.
